I heard this from a guide, so I’m not sure how accurate it is, but it does make a lot of sense.

There are two examples from sports and three from popular culture that illustrate this idea. It’s definitely something worth thinking about.



First, in the 2002 Korea-Japan World Cup, Korea’s victory over Italy in the round of 16 became a historic moment. Soccer is more than just a sport in Italy—it’s practically a way of life.
